The following liability disclaimer applies to events hosted by us, the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE), our representatives, agents, sponsors, and employees and to the our AALHE website.

In the unlikely occurrence that an AALHE event must be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of AALHE, we shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the event attendee.

AALHE does not accept responsibility and expressly excludes liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for the following:

  • any loss or damage to any personal property left unattended during an event organized by AALHE unless caused by the negligence of AALHE or its employees; or
  • death or any personal injury suffered at a AALHE event unless caused by the negligence of AALHE or its employees.

AALHE does not assume any responsibility or obligation to provide financial or other assistance, including, but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance in the event of injury, illness, death, or property damage occurring during an event or travel to and from an event.

AALHE will record images and sound at its events. By virtue of attendance, attendees agree to AALHE’s usage of these recordings on our website and for marketing. 

Despite the great care taken to prepare and update this website, AALHE disclaims all warranties with regard to information posted on this website. Readers will make their own determination of how suitable the information is for their usage and intent. In no event will we be responsible for damages resulting from the use or reliance upon this information. We are not responsible for opinions and information posted by others on this website.
