The AALHE Annual Conference is set to take place June 9-10, in a virtual format, bringing together higher education professionals from across the country for two days of engaging presentations and collaborative learning. 

This year’s theme, “Assessment in Action: Real Work, Real Community,” highlights the vital role of assessment in shaping meaningful educational experiences and strengthening institutional effectiveness.

 Conference Volunteers

Get more engaged by volunteering during the event - help moderate speaker presentations, review abstracts, answer the chats etc. Participating as a volunteer during the conference can be a rewarding way to engage with AALHE. AALHE is pleased to offer a limited number of grants to support members in good standing who wish to attend the AALHE Annual Conference. We believe in fostering inclusivity and accessibility for all our members, and we invite our members to join us in this mission by contributing to our conference grant initiative. Your support will directly impact the professional development opportunities available to our members, ensuring that a diverse range of voices and perspectives are represented at our conference. Together, let's make the AALHE Annual Conference an enriching experience for all.

Request a Grant from our AALHE Conference Fund

AALHE is pleased to offer a limited number of grants to support speakers or members in good standing who wish to attend the AALHE Annual Conference. 

Grant Eligibility

  • Must be a current AALHE member in good standing, or
  • Acceptance of a conference proposal by the grant application deadline.
    *Please note that the conference proposal and the grant assistance application processes are separate and require two actions.
    1. Conference proposals are submitted online during the Call for Proposals window.
    2. A separate Grant Application Form (link opens in new window) must be filled out requesting support.
Grant Use
The grant can be used against the expenses of:
  • Main Conference Registration*
    *Pre-conference workshops are NOT covered by grant support.
  • Membership Support

Grant Review

We will consider the following when reviewing applications (listed in no particular order):

    • Volunteer service and, in particular, leadership in an AALHE committee
    • Whether the applicant will be presenting at the conference and the type of presentation.
      (symposium, presentation, dialogue or skills building, poster session)
    • Statement of interest and financial need
Deadline to Submit

The deadline for grant support applications is April 4, 2026.  Grant recipients will be notified in writing by April 11, 2026.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Registrations can be paid by check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) and must be received by AALHE by May 29, 2026.

Refunds of conference registration fees will be made on cancellation requests submitted up to 30 days prior to the start of the conference (May 9, 2026), however, an administrative cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. 

Cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of the start of the conference must be for reasons of personal or family emergency only.  Refund requests must be made in writing, stating the specific reasons and circumstances for the refund request. The $50 administrative cancellation fee will still apply.
